Awareness cum Training programme on Preparation of Pineapple Juice and Jam: A joint venture of ITBP BASAR and KVK West - Siang for HWWA (Him - Veer Wife welfare Association) at ITBP BASAR
A one day awareness cum training programme organized by ITBP Basar in technical assistance with the resource persons Smt. Bharati Saloi (Sr.Tech. officer) and Mrs. Deepa Lal (SMS Horti.) KVK West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh, Basar on preparation of pineapple juice and pineapple jam, at ITBP BASAR On 10th Nov, 2016.All together 19 HWWA women’s participated in the training. During the programme experts briefed the gathering about the importance of organizing this programme and explained about value added pineapple products which can help HWWA to become self sufficient, to generate more income. Trainers also emphasized on women empowerment in the society through development of agricultural enterprises and minimizing the post-harvest losses of fruits. Later on in technical session preparation of pineapple juice and jam was demonstrated to them. The entire HWWA participants and concern staff members from ITBP cooperated successfully in the training programme. At the end of the day, they were very much satisfied and appreciated the KVK and ICAR-AP Centre, Basar for working hard for the Arunachal farmers, civil societies. Participant promised the organizer that they will try their level best to implement the appropriate technologies which were taught in their home and field to have sustainability.
